Sami Mälkiä's Pranayama & Ashtanga Workshop 15.-16.10.2016
This is one of the most relaxed and fun workshops in our school. We breathe, we practice asana, have fun and enjoy long breakfasts in Cafe Kohalik.
If you have practiced with me, you know I always talk about the breath. It's all about the breath. After taking part of this workshop, you will have a much better understanding about it and skills that you can implement in your daily practice. The breath is the key because it has a direct effect on our nervous system. When we practice asana, we actually do a dynamic breathing practice. Putting your foot behind your head is fun ;) but learning the proper way to breathe is life transforming. Don't miss this great opportunity to learn from our friend Sami Mälkiä.
Who is Sami? Sami is in many way similar to me. He is a thinker. We can spend hours (during our breakfast session) to talk about some of the deeper aspects of life... and death. Sami has practiced Ashtanga Yoga since 1999 and Pranayama since 2009. He has been teaching regular classes in the Ashtanga Yoga School of Helsinki and in Rööperin Aamujooga (also in Helsinki). He has also been teaching in Japan and in USA. Nowadays Sami travels around different schools in Europe, sharing his experiences about his practice of the body, mind and heart.
Who can join this workshop? Absolutely everyone. If you don't have any experience in yoga, this is a great time to start. We will be there to help you get started. If you have any questions, feel free to ask them as you register to the workshop by writing to ashtanga[at]ashtanga.ee. :)
See you soon!
